Actionable Cold Email Tip
Most people who think cold email doesn't work is because they've been rinsed by spammy outreach.
Spammy outreach is irrelevant, sounds like an AI robot and looks like every single other person's outreach.
Email sequencers have made it incredibly easy to send spammy outreach and 99% of people think all that's needed to create a successful outreach campaign is more volume.
Sending the same messaging to a million people and never reviewing their feedback is a great way to end up in the spam folder.
Volume is important once you've established your message market fit, but should not be a substitute for bad copywriting.
Avoid this by speaking to benefits your prospect can achieve, providing value with lead magnets and building intent by using direct response principles.
Always operate under the premise that there's a real human at the other end of your outreach.
If you wouldn't reply to your email, neither will your prospect.

Only use plain text (no images)
Less than 100 words
Offer a measurable expected outcome
Give value with a lead magnet
Use social proof to substantiate claim

Quick bite-sized pointer: I recently closed a deal with a prospect who has been following me for over a year. They watch all my YouTube videos and follow my content. On our closing call, they said they’ve gotten so much value from my content, it was a no-brainer to work together. I say this not to brag, but show you how important it is to (a) exist online and (b) give tactical value to your audience. If you’re not currently posting online, then this is your reminder to get started. Cold outbound is a game of trust and no-one wants to work with a ghost. Get out of the shadows and start using the media leverage provided by the internet. If you’re looking for a place to start, Twitter and LinkedIn are a great place to get your feet wet. Then I recommend posting on YouTube.
