Actionable Cold Email Tip

Most people outbound have heard about lead magnets at this point.

They’re one of the most effective ways to convert cold leads into qualified prospects.

They work because:

They require low activation energy

You’re offering free value for a problem they’re facing today and making it extremely easy for the prospect to say yes

Benefit: more prospects will respond with positive intent

It positions you as an authority

Stand out from the competition by proving your an industry expert and understand (or have a hypothesis) their current situation

Benefit: improved status and value exchange creates reciprocity

Warms the prospect

Cold email leads don’t know you or trust you and are skeptical. This warms them because now they’ve already seen your face, heard your voice and know your name.

Benefit: They start to trust you which means you’ll close at a higher rate.

Here are 5 things to do if you want prospects to convert with Loom video Lead Magnets

1) Respond within 5 minutes (at most 1 hour)

When your prospect responds, you're top of mind.

Capitalize on this by getting back to them quickly.

Most of our conversions happen in this 1-hour window.

2) Make it easy to consume

This means make your video less than 5 minutes long.

If it's too long, the prospect isn't going to watch.

Snappy, to the point videos show you know they're busy.

Don't drag on with your message - get to the point.

3) Give social proof

Prove you're worth listening to by dropping your client results.

This separates you from the nameless faceless internet masses who claim they can do xyz result without any backup.

Establishing expertise hooks in your audience, increases view duration and ultimately meeting conversion.

4) Focus on the prospect

Once you've dropped proof, focus on how you can solve the prospect's biggest most acute pain points.

Ideally this is a problem that is incredibly painful or is impacting their revenue (bonus points if both).

5) Push to call in your CTA

Get the prospect to take the next step by booking in with you.

If you don't prescribe next steps, the prospect won't do anything.

Be direct and request them to book in.
