Actionable Cold Email Tip

Today I’m sharing the exact strategy I’ve developed after spending over 1,000 hours inside of Clay(.)com which has helped me book over 1,000 B2B sales calls for my clients and my own business.

In that time, I’ve identified the top 10 enrichments to use inside the platform to not only book more meetings, but spend less time doing manual research to focus on selling.

Here’s the 80/20 of my findings in a 3 step plan you can use to get value out of the platform.

Step 1: Build Your TAM (Total Addressable Market) List

Use Clay’s Find Companies enrichment to build a list of companies that fit your ideal customer profile. Filter by industry, location, and company size to ensure you’re targeting the right businesses. You can even upload a competitor’s domain and let Clay find similar companies for you.

This step ensures you have a highly targeted list, cutting out irrelevant leads and saving you hours of manual research.

Step 2: Enrich Your Data and Find Decision-Makers

Once you have your list of companies, use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find decision-makers within those organizations. Look for roles like VP of Marketing, Director of Sales, or Founder—whatever role aligns with your offer.

Then, use Clay’s Waterfall Email Enrichment to find and verify email addresses for each contact. The waterfall process pulls from multiple data sources, so you get a larger data set of validated contact information.

Step 3: Automate and Personalize Your Outreach

With your enriched data, it’s time to start your outreach campaign. Use Clay’s AI-agent to personalize your messages. You can generate relevant company details, such as recent news, product launches, or company growth triggers, to tailor your outreach.
