Stop doing manual data scraping, do this instead

Hey there, it’s Isaac from Leads to Earnings.

Welcome to the newsletter. (est. 4 minute read)

Today I will be going over:

  • How to save 80% of your sales reps’ time

  • Planning the first 48 hours of any new client relationship

  • I will also share a few cold email links and tips.

Hopefully you enjoy it.

Actionable Cold Email Tip

The average sales person is wasting 80% of their day on tasks that can be automated.

Here's what the average sales rep day looks like:

(I know this because I used to be an SDR for a VC funded tech startup):

  1. Building lists inside LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo

  2. Doing manual account research

  3. Manually finding good fit contacts

  4. Then manually enriching contact information for emails and phone numbers

  5. Once they have the email information, they'll spend 5-15 minutes writing an email

  6. Then they will go through Outreach or Salesloft and call leads already in the CRM

If 80% of the day is spent doing manual tasks that can be automated, you’re missing out on huge leverage provided by code (1 of the 4 main levers of business).

To get you out of the manual workflow weeds, I just dropped a training showing you exactly how you can get back 80% of your day to do your highest leverage selling activities.

  • Quote of the week: “The temptation to take the easy road is always there. It is as easy as staying in bed in the morning and sleeping in. But discipline is paramount to ultimate success and victory for any leader and any team.” — Jocko Willink

  • Quick bite-sized pointer: The first 48 hours of a new engagement sets the tone for the entire working relationship. Start by creating a seamless onboarding process to reduce buyer’s remorse and re-affirm their buying decision. I’ve created an automated onboarding process that gets the client everything they need within 10 minutes of signing and paying the service agreement. Once they have all their next steps clearly laid out, I’ve been sharing at least 1 actionable resource every day for the first 10 days. My end goal is to have 30 touches across the client’s first month. Since sharing actionable resources during onboarding, I’ve noticed two main benefits. 1) The client gets trained up to our process more quickly and 2) the client also increases their perceived value of my service. This is because they’re actually learning something from the deliverables. Many think that once you’ve closed the deal, you’ve already built enough trust. Not true - continue to affirm their decision to buy as often as possible to increase their happiness and their lifetime value.
