Hey there, it’s Isaac from Leads to Earnings. Welcome to the newsletter.
(est. 4 minute read)
Today I will be going over:
1 step to crushing self limiting beliefs
The single biggest bottleneck to cold email conversion
I will also share a few cold email links and tips.
Hopefully you enjoy it.
Actionable Cold Email Tip
I was in the gym the other day and an idea hit me like a 45 lb plate.
Most of our limits in life are completely self imposed.
In other words, we limit ourselves and can be our own biggest enemy.
What’s worse - these limits are holding us back from achieving our full potential.
Let me explain.
Think about the last time you were in the gym, repping it out and putting in a good session. You have the endorphins rushing and you’re feeling exerted because you did what you said you were going to do.
You might think, I’m topped out. I don’t need to do any more.
But then there’s a thought in the back of your head.
“You could probably do another, don’t be soft.”
Then you agree with yourself, “yes, I could definitely do another”
So, you pick the weight back up and push out a few more reps.
Was it pretty? Maybe, maybe not.
But you still did more than you originally thought you could AND you’re stronger for it.
You just upped your minimum effort threshold. You just upped your max.
This concept applies to the gym, life and even prospecting.
I’ve been working with a client the last month to help them build out their outbound sales function.
This means creating the playbook for their reps to execute. A big part of what we’re doing together is dialing in their prospecting.
When I speak to the reps, I usually hear a few things:
“We need to adjust this script or the list needs work or we need better sales assets”
Then I ask, we’ll how many reps did you get for each?
They’ll respond with some number like 20 or 25.
Then the answer why something isn’t ‘working’ becomes crystal clear.
You need to do more volume.
This is a limiting belief for many especially when they’re first starting prospecting. I won’t lie, prospecting can be hard.
You take a lot of rejection. People tell you to piss off, shower you with nos, give you f-k off’s, and say other mean stuff.
When I hear a young rep saying stuff isn’t working and their volume isn’t there it’s often because they’re fearing rejection.
But facing rejection and handling it is a skill to hone just like working out at the gym.
I call it building your rejection armor. You strengthen your rejection muscle every time you hear no until it’s as protective as Kevlar.
If you keep building it up, you’ll get to the point where someone can say anything to you and you won’t even budge. It’s on to the next one.
The only way to solve for this is simply doing more volume.
Doing more than you think you needed to will get you better at your skill and will give you more data to truly draw a conclusion on what’s working and what’s not.
Because sometimes the answer is as easy as just do another rep.
So today’s tip is simple.
In your next activity, whether its doing outreach or doing a workout, focus on pushing out just one more rep.
Then the next day do another rep. And the next day, do another. And keep repeating until you’ve completely maxed out.
Soon you’ll have 2xed your inputs. And then you’ll 10x your inputs.
If you’ve 10xed your inputs, it’s only a matter of time until you’ve 10xed your outputs.
And it’s almost impossible not to win when you’ve done 10x more what you thought possible.

Quote of the week: “What I am doing here is taking the reader by the hand and leading him exactly where I want him to go. It seems like a small point and, maybe it is, but is the little touches like this that keeps the letter flowing, the reader moving along, and, it relieves him of the burden of trying to figure out what he is supposed to do when he finishes reading a particular page.” – Gary Halbert
Quick bite-sized pointer: I've run 100s of cold email tests and this the most important variable in campaign success: Speed to lead. Replying to an interested prospect within 5 minutes means you're 21 times more likely to convert a lead into an opportunity. Reply quickly while you're front of mind
