Actionable Cold Email Tip

We’ve been using a 3 minute Loom video as a lead magnet in our campaigns and recommending it to our clients. It’s helped us book more than 20 calls in June alone.

The reason we use a Loom video lead magnet is because you can make it once and use it a thousand times with no extra work.

Another reason we use a Loom video lead magnet is because when you sell to a cold customer, they get on the call and they barely know who you are.

When you sell using a Loom, not only are you going to get a larger pool of people to sell to because more people are interested in the lead magnet but you’re going to grow that pool of people who trust you. They’ll trust you because they’ve already seen your face, heard your voice and have a bit of context on your offer and how you can help them.

So what happens as a result of the Loom video lead magnet is when they eventually come to the call, and more of them will because they’ve read the lead magnet, not only do they trust you more and not only are there more of them but number 3, you’re more likely to close them.

Here are a few keys to a good Loom video:

  1. Deliver to the prospect in less than 5 minutes

  2. Loom should be less than 2-3 minutes in length

  3. In one sentence, give social proof and your track record

  4. Focus on the prospect and how you can help them (do not talk about yourself too much)

  5. Speak to a problem that is painful, one that can help make them more money or one that maintains legal compliance

  6. Create an open loop to the next step by giving value and a reason to take the next step (you’ll get x benefit by hopping on a call with me)

  7. Strong CTA (ie If this sounds like a problem you’d like to solve, then book a call)

The more channels you can leverage, the more eyeballs and ultimately the more opportunities for a high quality fit. The process of finding new employees is very similar to acquiring new clients. First, you need a good offer. Then you need to tell people about that offer. If enticing, you’ll be overflowing with interested responses.
